While working at Five by Five’s Southampton office in 2016 I worked on a iPad based quiz (which was later tweaked for many more screens) to determine whether or not a customer is susceptible to digital eye fatigue.
The quiz had to account for all of the various screens a customer might look at in their daily life, then in the background crunch all the numbers and present any findings.
The quiz was used as a sales tool and as interactive visual merchandising enticing customers to purchase CooperVisions’s new contact lenses.
The app was translated in 10+ languages and many earlier designs turned out to be too adventurous considering line-lengths across translations and legibility at all sizes and on all devices.
